Masks arrived today, sooner than initially expected. Box of 50 appeared full, masks were clearly in factory condition.I’m an ER nurse (currently off work due to underlying medical issue) and I wanted to see how these compared to the simple masks we’ve always used on the floor before Covid. The box explains the 3-ply construction so I wanted to verify this. I have a handful of the ones we use at the hospital (my supervisor let me take a handful pre-Covid because I typically travel internationally quite a bit so don’t worry I wasn’t pilfering previous resources at the time). I cut one of the hospital masks apart and one of these apart and their construction both appeared identical, both had 3 plys of the same or similar materials.This is not a substitute for an N95 and was never meant to be.
