I have a (slightly smaller) 3 month old French Bulldog - a small pet. I figured this sling would fit and chose it because of the removable board underneath. But when I got the bandage I noticed that it looks small for an animal, and it really is. My puppy is 10.5 weeks old and weighs 12.2 kg. In terms of fit, the sling is almost ok. Everything would probably be fine if the grid wasn't so wide. The mesh on my sling is 3, maybe 4 inches wide around the perimeter, it feels like 1/3 of the bag is mesh - you can see in the photos the mesh was much smaller, maybe an inch hereabouts. Due to the large amount of mesh, this significantly reduces living space, but this can be beneficial for overheated dogs and you carry your pet in warm weather. I'm giving it 4 stars because it has a lot of great features, but this sling has to be the best size and for all of them - 9lb max load - I should have been careful. This would probably work well for a small to medium sized cat or toy dog/puppy. IF you have a small dog, Frenchy like me - (he's not even grown yet) be sure to check your pet's weight for this sling.
