These are great little tools! I'm 58 years old and I've been having a bit of pain in the joints of my hands lately. I think it's a real struggle to open a new can of something. Especially the jars of pickles and olives that really seem to hold the seal! When I cook, I don't have time to wait for my husband to help me open the jars. I tried different tools but they all still required brute force which bothered my hands. Then I found them in a small kitchen store in Michigan. I bought one and tried it. My god how well they work! I was excited. You carefully lift the lid of the jar and break the seal. They won't damage the lid, so you can keep using the lid as long as there's something in the jar. I love good tools and this is definitely in my top 5 favorite kitchen tools of all time. I went back and bought a few more of these. I've been passing them on to family and friends for a number of years. I always make sure to include one when we give a bridal shower or wedding favors. Every kitchen should have one of these. Do yourself a favor and order one. You'll be surprised how you managed without it before.
