Don't use in harsh light

These filters arrived today, and the first thing I did was screw one onto my Canon Rebel T2i + EF-S 18-55 IS to see how they performed. I was sitting in my living room, so I immediately pointed the camera at a nearby light. What do I see? A faint ghost light floating around the frame.Now, to be fair, the light was extremely bright - a 900+ lumen daylight bulb. In fact, my camera can't really take a properly exposed image with one of these lights in frame.I'll be uploading some shots I took that clearly show the ghosting. The shots were taken with the polarizing filter. An identical effect appeared with the UV filter. I never intended to use the third filter (which is mostly for film), so I did not test it.Later in the evening I shot some frames with the sun in the b
