
That's exactly what I do needed for that. I can take two sources and route them both to the same channel on our mixer. I use it to have two places on stage to connect tracks/metronome and still connect to the same inputs on our board. I haven't tried it in the opposite direction from 1 male end to 2 female ends. But copper is copper, so it should work just fine either way. The quality of the cables and splices is also excellent.
