Meets expectations

Pros: Bamboo body looks very nice. Impressive volume from such small speakers and tweeters. . I don't like clutter on my desk and it gives me a lot of space. The included speaker wires are pre-tinned (soldered so the wires fit easily into the speaker jacks) for easy connection. Nice little gesture. The packaging is beautiful. The instructions are clear. I expected that from such a small speaker. Price. I think for $200 they should have sounded a little better. Especially at medium frequencies. A few notes. You need to manage your expectations regarding the capabilities of these speakers. I felt the sound should have been better for the price and compared to other $99 speakers like Mackie or M-Audio. They cost twice as much as these other speakers, and compared to Mackie, the difference isn't noticeable. If aesthetics are more important to you than overall sound, then by all means go for a speaker that costs twice the price. I deduct one star because of the missing headphone jack and the bad mids as well as the acquisition costs. $149 would be ideal for this type of speaker.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
