I bought this item specifically for use at work as my computer is on the floor. The length of the cord is great and I like that it's twisted in the middle like an old school phone. The design of the headphones themselves is very comfortable. The parts appear to be metal except for the plastic switch/button on the right side. Not sure what it's for as it doesn't control the volume. The sounds are clear and loud. I had to turn the computer volume down by half. I was using an old pair of headphones that came with an old cell phone, the sound was fuzzy and low. At this point I would buy another one if I had to.
