Review on Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Grease Paste by Marquel Henry

Crazy temperature swings but application is key

I bought the kit with extra alcohol wipes and extra 3 black cotton swabs because it was the only version of coductonaut that could ship same day for free. Otherwise I would buy the regular 1G or 5G version. The first CPU I used this on was a 6700k and the temps went down by an insane margin that makes the 20c difference you read about seem conservative. Overclocked to 4.8GHz with the old H100 at 1.385V LLC6, the 6700k didn't go above 55-60C with the Prime 95 mix, while before using the same H100 with the same overclock settings I reached 85-90C, when I used Prime95 blend. Before quitting, I also tested the 6700k at stock speeds with an old copper slug cooler I got from the 2600k. After 5 minutes, the processor started to slow down when starting Prime95. After Delid, the temperature did not rise above 67 degrees. The dumbest numbers I've seen was when running Prime95 with the H100 at stock speeds. The 6700k briefly reached 40 degrees, but stayed above 30 degrees for most of the test. A few years ago I tried using Cool Lab Liquid Ultra between the IHS and EK water blocks on my 3930k and it lowered the temp by 3-4 degrees. When I applied the mass I had to apply a thin layer on both sides. When I first tried the application I just mixed the IHS and the final temps were 4 degrees higher than the Kryonaut I was using.
