Review on HotLabel A300: High-Quality 300 DPI Shipping Label Printer for Amazon, eBay, Shopify, FedEx & UPS by Jason Franco

I bought this printer to replace a 15 year old Zebra that suddenly stopped working. I have another 4x6 thermal printer and when I first opened the A300's box I was surprised at how solid and heavy this printer feels, especially compared to my other one. Setup was easy and I called customer service before making the purchase and twice after receiving it to help with some printer settings. The person who answered the call was very nice and very knowledgeable about printer settings. The print quality is excellent and both the print speed and the print contrast can be easily adjusted in the settings. Since I only print a few labels a day, my printer is plugged into a smart outlet and I can just turn it on when I need it. I'm 100% satisfied with the print quality, but to be honest I didn't see any difference between 203 and 300 DPI even when I zoomed in with my camera. If I were to print something other than shipping labels, the extra DPI could make a difference. I lower the print speed to 2 and leave the contrast at 8 or 9 and it comes out very clear and dark. At this price I have nothing to complain about. I also bought a 4 year printer warranty for $15. It covers power surges for the first year and everything else (except abuse) for the next 3 years. The USPS labels via eBay printed fine, but the UPS label was cut off a few mm at the top. Speaking to support I found that the sample labels that came with the printer are a little smaller than the usual 4x6 label size and in fact when I replaced the labels they all printed perfectly. Of course you can still use these for eBay or other platforms. Good to know as initially I thought something was wrong with the printer. While I can't comment on the durability of this printer, I can definitely say that it feels solid and well built and prints nice, crisp, dark shipping labels. Customer service was outstanding and I appreciate that they responded to my questions so quickly.
