Review on 🐠 10 Gallon Marina LED Aquarium Kit by Yasmine Sepulveda

I bought this for my Betta and he loves all the 10 gallon space! The tank was very easy to set up. I really like the thin filter, it doesn't take up much space and it's quite quiet. In addition, you can easily customize it by swapping out the cartridges for other media. I added some ceramic rings for more efficient biological filtration and some filter threads to clarify the water. The adjustable flow is also very good, I keep it low most of the time, but even when I set it to medium/high my betta didn't have much trouble moving. (He is a good swimmer though so if you have a betta that doesn't swim much or a very small fish you should probably keep an eye on him in case the current from the exit is too strong) Visually the tank is very clean, modern look. When I first ordered I was unsure about the black silicone in the corners, but it actually looks better than clear silicone and doesn't detract from visibility because it's so thin. It also frames the whole aquarium very nicely when you look at it directly. The lid looks a lot better than some of the other lids of this type and has cut outs to fit the filter perfectly. It also has a small cutout in the back for a light cord and an oval cutout in the front right corner for the power supply. The lid cannot be opened, but it fits well and does not slip. The LED light is bright enough to keep my live plants happy and growing. These are white LED bulbs only. So if you want other colors, you have to add them yourself. The light comes with a switch and can be connected to a timer. This kit contains a water conditioner, an additive to start the aquarium cycle and some tropical fish flake food. All of these add-ons are trademarks of Fluval. I have not used conditioner or other additives because I have already had some api water conditioners and Seachem stabilizers that do the same thing as Fluval. I've tried flakes as they contain a decent amount of protein but my betta isn't interested. My Microdevario Kubotai seems to appreciate them as the flakes fit more easily into their tiny mouths. Overall this is a pretty good aquarium kit that has everything you need to set it up right out of the box except for the heater and the decoration. It comes with a thermometer, but it's very vague as to what the actual temperature of my tank is, so a thermometer is a good idea too.
