first of all, this is NOT anywhere near the quality of typical metal wire shelves that use plastic clips to hold the shelves in place. it's thinner and lighter, overall, and i'm not sure how i didn't notice in the images but the legs aren't solid, single pieces with notches for adjustability. they're thin poles that must be inserted in sections (think: swiffer handle) and the clips that hold the shelves in place are also used to secure each leg section together, so shelf spacing is limited by and dependent on this. i didn't realize that the clip holes were at different heights on the "top" and "bottom" legs so i had to disassemble it and assemble it again to get more height on the bottom shelf and have the top shelf aligned flush with the top of the legs (perhaps this was noted in the instructions and i missed it since i am quite the connoisseur of metal wire shelving, i only glanced at the sheet, so i'm willing to consider this was user error).however, once assembled it was obviously wonky with no way to set it straight. it will work for my purposes but it was entirely over-priced for the flimsy, lightweight, and crooked end-product. the wire gauge is so thin i was worried that i would bend it just trying to lightly mallet the shelves in place and once i placed the toolboxes on each shelf the thin wire definitely sags. time will tell if the thinner wire doesn't eventually snap off in places, i'm hoping it at least holds up for a year but am super disappointed that i have to be extra cautious and "baby" this unit because it's more fragile than utilitarian. and finally, there's also no adjustable feet as is customary with these types of shelves so not only does it lean, there's no way to offset its own unevenness or that of the floor on the unit itself).
