I was looking for a 6-quart Dutch oven (5-quart not large enough for some of my recipes) and this 7-quart enameled cast iron unit popped up at a great price.I am sure the listed weight is accurate but this is the first time I've had cookware so heavy I had to focus to put it on the top shelf of my side-by-side fridge.To be fair, that shelf is 6 feet off the floor, but it's worth leaving the lid on the counter, and then putting it on inside the fridge!I like the dimples on the inside of the lid that help collect condensation and return it to the pan.No issues with quality.

But if you have a muscular kitchen companion with a bad temper, keep them away. If you drop the pan or lid, it's going to leave a mark!
