Review on Brother DS700D Compact Duplex Scanner by Reginald Truitt

I don't like using this. This may be true of other compact scanners as I've only used this one, but I don't like how difficult it is to line it up so it feeds straight. As a result, it's always crooked, so you always get dark stripes on the top and sides with every scan. The dark area at the top is usually a quarter of an inch thick unless you line it up perfectly, which is impossible. I guess I'm anal so this really bothers me and I don't understand why it can't detect and auto delete all the dark space at the top of each scan. I don't have time to edit all my scans to straighten them or remove all the big black borders. I bought the scanner to save time, not add extra work.
