Non-Regular/Traditional Felting Foam Cushion
This is not your ordinary/traditional felt foam pillow. It's more like styrofoam. It feels like smooth plastic. Advantages: Due to the smooth surface, the wool does not stick to it, so the surface stays clean. Cons: Seems to break down much quicker than a regular felt pad, leaving a deep indentation where you worked. It definitely won't take long if you're a professional fuller. As a side note, I also don't like the sound or feel of the needle going through the pad. This may not bother some, but if you're generally sensitive to such things, you probably won't enjoy using this rug.
