Based on the feedback here and on several forums I visit, I had higher expectations. I knew the temp sensor would be short and I was able to work around that. But the displayed temperature never matches the tank temperature. The current temperature is never the target temperature even when not running. There always seems to be a two degree difference between the set and the current one. It seems to hold a constant temperature and I've been able to set everything up successfully with no issues (I set it two degrees warmer than I actually need in the tank). I can handle all of this. The big problem, however, is that it has randomly reset itself several times to what appears to be factory defaults (slightly warmer than I'd like and the display is in Celsius). There is nothing better than cooking fish with a product designed to protect it from heat/cold. I have very little faith in this device and it's a shame as I really wanted to like it.
