I found it ok and increased the temperature to get the desired result.

Not sure if I have a lemon or something. The gauge I received may not have been properly calibrated as the temperature displayed is consistently higher than the actual water temperature. I found it ok and adjusted the temp higher to get my desired water temp. This has been working fine for a month but now the device says the water temp is 77F but the other two temps tell me the water is 83.5F. - I wish it showed up to tenths of a degree. - The alarm is annoying during water changes when the…

Broke after 13 months

Like many others. Apparently this temperature sensor is not calibrated. That's about 1F too low. In addition, the temperature sensor has a very short cable for large tanks. Otherwise it looks like it will work. UPDATE: Ironically, as someone else mentioned, this failed after 13 months of use. I'm pretty sure the temperature sensor is the defective part. I have contacted the manufacturer. They are quite rude, asked for my receipt and never spoke again. They should work on their customer service…

Disappointment. suitable for temperature and humidity

Based on the feedback here and on several forums I visit, I had higher expectations. I knew the temp sensor would be short and I was able to work around that. But the displayed temperature never matches the tank temperature. The current temperature is never the target temperature even when not running. There always seems to be a two degree difference between the set and the current one. It seems to hold a constant temperature and I've been able to set everything up successfully with no issues…

Decent controller for the money

Easy to use and factory accurate - I currently have 2 Jager heaters hooked up to this controller. The temperature readings on this unit were pretty good compared to my calibrated digital thermometer. I've only been using it for a little over a month, but the installation was easy and the device seems well built. First, the pad itself is quite large, about the size of a small paperback book. The quick start and start guide was easy. The display shows the current operating temperature and when…

Very happy with this controller!

This controller has been used with two 300w Finnex thermostatless heaters in my 125 liter fresh water tank sump for just over 6 months. So far this device has worked flawlessly. Liked the high/low limit alert. Useful, especially when setting time parameters. The temperature sensor cable is a bit short, but for accurate measurements, its length should be as short as possible. Additionally, tanks that require controls typically use a sump system. My heaters are in the return pump chamber and the…

Easy to use, precise control. No drowning to change the pace.

This unit is located outside the aquarium, allowing you to control the heating element in the aquarium without getting your hands wet. It remembers your settings, so power loss isn't a big problem. The display is nice and bright and the numbers are big and easy to read around the room. To use it, connect the desired heating element (sold separately) to the control box and lower the sensor from the control box into the tank to a location where it is not next to the heating element (you want the…
