This controller has been used with two 300w Finnex thermostatless heaters in my 125 liter fresh water tank sump for just over 6 months. So far this device has worked flawlessly. Liked the high/low limit alert. Useful, especially when setting time parameters. The temperature sensor cable is a bit short, but for accurate measurements, its length should be as short as possible. Additionally, tanks that require controls typically use a sump system. My heaters are in the return pump chamber and the temp sensor is in the chamber just upstream. This effectively places the probe farthest from the heating elements, physically just a few inches from the heating elements in the downflow chamber. The cable length is ideal for this type of installation. I monitor the tank temp at both ends of the tank, one in the temp sensor chamber and one in the sump chamber. I get the difference between all thermometers no more than 0.5 degrees. This is one of the advantages of running clarifiers. Just ordered my second controller and high power splitter for two 150 Aqueon heaters. Highly recommended and specially designed for aquariums compared to other controllers on the market that activate heating and cooling systems.
