Review on Finnex Digital Temperature Controller Heater by Mike Carter

Easy to use and factory accurate - I currently have 2 Jager heaters hooked up to this controller. The temperature readings on this unit were pretty good compared to my calibrated digital thermometer. I've only been using it for a little over a month, but the installation was easy and the device seems well built. First, the pad itself is quite large, about the size of a small paperback book. The quick start and start guide was easy. The display shows the current operating temperature and when you select a set you can set the temperature you wish to maintain. There is also a high and low temperature alarm that I tested. Only when checking for leaks and draining cold water into the sump, then once when supplying hot water. My only complaint would be with the suction cup used for the temperature sensor - it doesn't seem to stick well and when there's power around it can move slightly. They have a stainless steel clip to attach the wire to the sides of the tank but it doesn't work very well either. This is a small downside to a great package. Will update this review after some time or if something happens to it.
