Review on ๐Ÿ”‘ Keychron K6: Compact 65% Gaming Mech Keyboard | Wireless Bluetooth/USB | RGB LED Backlit | Aluminum Frame | Optical Brown Switch | Mac Windows by Branden Type

This is the best start

This keyboard has replaced the one with the same brown switch but from Outemu only with white backlight at 75% layout. I immediately noticed the quieter and more precise switches, which allow for even more typing. I have to say that there is a lot that can be done to improve this keyboard, like PBT keycaps, dampening to eliminate (rare) pings, lubrication for extra "popping", etc., but what you get out of the box, is perfect. to me. The ABS keycaps feel thinner and smoother compared to other cheap textured keyboards. The backlight shines through these keycaps in a font rarely seen on a keyboard at this price point. The lighting effects and features of this thing are way ahead, and the only downside is the very short (nicely braided) cable that needs to run from the left side of the keyboard, and I use my USB 2.0 extension cable to take up the slack. All in all, if you're looking at Ducky or Razer, or maybe even customizing keyboards, this is a great start to the hobby. There's a Reddit subforum where you can get tons of support, and if you're on smaller keyboards like this one, you know what's got you learning keyboard shortcuts over and over again. I can't wait for their software to change it even more to my personal liking. I will also take the keyboard apart to put in some cushioning foam. I've noticed grease on these thin caps, but it's not that noticeable. However, the downside I've found is that RGB is still not configurable and the software isn't releasing this year (no purple). Also, my wrists hurt a little while playing, so I bought a wrist rest to soothe them. I still recommended the keyboard to do hobby and recommended the same to friends.
