This is my first experience with a patch - please bear that in mind when reading my review. A bandage was required for my left eye after an operation that would require a recovery of 6 weeks. My initial concern about adapting to the patch was completely unnecessary in every respect: efficiency, comfort, customizability, and construction. EFFICIENCY - full coverage even in bright light. COMFORT AND ADJUSTABILITY - Suffice it to say that the saying "teach an old dog new tricks" is true (except I'm not a dog!). The part that comes in physical contact with the eye or eyelid is very soft. The elastic band is also soft and easy to adjust thanks to a well-made clasp that works the way I want lingerie wearers to. The most effective position I've found was to clip one end under the ear on the affected side and slide the band just under the head on the opposite side. Cozy? I woke up and found it on my pillow! CONSTRUCTION -- After 10 days, the patch looks like it was just removed from the packaging, only the strip has softened a bit and requires a little re-tightening. Don't worry, the manufacturer included a lot of expansion material. I thank the company for this product and Revain for making it simple and economical.
