This headset works well with my desk phone. My message is not to dwell on the attributes of this topic but to warn all users using lightweight headsets of this type. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that this item was made in China and in that sense by close-up manufacturers. I also assume that the solder joint is small. I've had similar headsets and hung them up by the cord by mistake and over time they've failed because I think the constant tugging on the cord was stressing that little solder joint and causing an electrical break. Now I use a twist (the small coated wire you find around the cables) around the headrest and hang the twist on a hook that prevents the cable from being pulled. I hope this review will save your headsets from premature failure.
