Man I wish I had this a long time ago. I tried metal water bottles when they first became popular a few years ago and I didn't like them very much. I chose insulated plastic bottles like CamelBak PodiumIce because I liked the ease and convenience of being able to just squeeze/suck to drink, but the bottle was always sealed and couldn't spill. In fact, even with ice, the drink didn't stay cold that long. Their design and functionality are amazing and the price is about the same for the same size. Now I don't know if the original metal water bottles were like that, or they just came a long way, or a mix of both, but I had no idea how cold metal bottles keep the drink (don't know). Have you tried hot drinks yet? It's really adorable. Even if you leave the bottle out in the heat all day. It stays freezing the whole time I fill it up, which can take 24 hours. I initially avoided metal water bottles as I had no idea how efficient they were at keeping the temperature, I didn't like how heavy they were and that I had to open and close the lid manually every time. But I quickly realized that I don't mind using ice water all day after filling it ONCE, and I actually like its strength.
