Unfortunately I purchased several of these items before researching one of the ingredients, Guar Gum. This stabilizing agent has been linked to gastrointestinal upset, including loose stools and bloating associated with gas. And as pet parents who only want the best for their two dogs, I will not expose them to these avoidable health risks. To be honest, I don't see why anyone would add such a crappy ingredient to a meal that would otherwise be great. Possibility. Whatever the case, these canned foods are worthy of my dogs. I'll stick with other brands that avoid questionable, unnecessary thickeners.
