After researching and reading many different large coasters I settled on this one. I have a 32 ounce metal water bottle that is quite heavy when full and I was worried it would be too heavy as it is so big and could fall out of any cup holder. Well, this one works fantastic! The bottom consists of flexible, tapered rubber "fins" (the best way to describe them) that wrap around the base. Part of the drink holder has removable rubber inserts to accommodate bottles of different sizes. I had to remove the inserts and my bottle fitted perfectly. The sides are high enough that my large bottle won't fall off if I have to stop abruptly. There is also a space for a mug with a handle. As for squeezing, the only thing I could complain about is that it's quite difficult to detach from the car cup holder once you have it. another cup holder in the car. But I think that can also be GOOD, right? This means it stays in place and doesn't rattle. Highly recommend this cup holder especially if you want one for large water bottles.
