These are amazing frag stands. I have had several styles of frag stands "...over the years in various different sized saltwater pools. These are hands down the best. First, they are compact and let light through. Many other frag racks are huge and unwieldy, blocking all light underneath. This is impractical with some frags. Rack placement Second, these are the best magnets of any brand I've tried. I have 1/2" glass and it stays in place with no issues. Third, they look great. Algae and other debris is visible on acrylic and other transparent or light-colored materials. Like regular egg-crate-like material, it has less surface area for dirt to collect and is black to cover it all hide what's inside. Finally, despite being quite compact, they contain frags in different configurations. I've attached an image to give you an idea of the scale. Finally to the reviewer who said it can scratch glass, of course it can. Those are two strong magnets with glass/acrylic in between. If anything gets between them, or dust or whatever gets on them when you put them in the tank, it can scratch them, just like any splinter stand. Just be careful not to get anything in between (don't use it on sand for example) and don't put it on the front of the aquarium so it's not the side of the display if it gets scratched. This is not a product defect. This is a user error. There is nothing better than these shelves. They're the best I've used. I bought one and immediately bought two more to replace the other two I have.
