Review on Dorman 603 377 Pressurized Coolant Reservoir by Steven Brouillard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Definitely not an OEM!

Just installed the expansion tank for two weeks and noticed a leak from the level sensor. Unfortunately, it took me a few months to start replacing my original coolant hoses, thermostat and expansion tank. I wish I had replaced the reservoir a few months ago, I would have discovered the defect and sent it back! Luckily the OEM reservoir can be cleaned and replaced with a new one! Give away $75! you live and learn. No more Dorman products for me. Had to use my OEM level gauge because the one that came with theirs didn't work! Writes a low coolant level, although the expansion tank was full. Luckily, before installing the faulty Dorman product, I flushed the entire system. This allows you to place the standard expansion tank safely.

Pros
  • Perfect solution - designed for a seamless install
Cons
  • Good but not great
