My kit was missing one key piece: a longer black screw, which is required if you can't use either of the two factory-installed 2280 M.2 mounts. Without this long screw it is not possible to mount a mounting post for other sizes, such as e.g. B. 2242 (which I needed) to attach. This made the product unusable for me. I was also very annoyed at the need for assembly. The adapter must be shipped with a standard size connector bracket already attached to the board. I like that you can use the card in low-profile slots by supplying brackets in both sizes, but additional cards from other manufacturers come with a full-size bracket already attached, and users who buy them in low-profile -Need to use cases, need to do the extra work by changing the brackets. Instead, Yateng bothers each customer with additional assembly steps, instead of only bothering a small percentage of those who need a half-height/low-profile configuration. Due to the lack of quality control and being very dissatisfied with a missing part, I recommend this product as I now have to bother MY customer by telling them to wait for another adapter to be shipped to my shop , before his car is ready. I considered giving it only 1 star but as the product would be great for the price if I could use it I'm rating it 2 stars out of 5.
