It's smaller than I expected. I would like it to be brighter. We ride during the day and wish these turn signals were more visible. Of course it's brighter at night. This is most evident from behind. You can see it from the side, but it's not as bright as the 3 rear-facing LEDs. That's a drawback and the reason I deducted a star. As you can see, and I somehow missed it, the turn signal is about the same diameter as the lower post. It can grow to about two inches tall and stands almost erect. It has a rubberized plug that fits into the charging port to ensure water resistance. At first I was surprised that it is held in place by a rubber band and not a clip. I'd rather just snap it into the clip with one hand. But this one requires you to hold the light with one hand and then pull the elastic around the seatpost. It definitely requires two hands and some inclination to see what you're doing. But it's really quite functional in the long run. I've seen rubber bands at Revain sold in multipacks if you need to replace one. On the plus side, it can be easily detached for charging. I take it off and charge it with my phone charger, about 2.5 hours at home. It's a lot easier than fumbling with strings on the outside. Seems to delay about 3 hour long drives. Maybe it will last longer, I didn't calculate how long it would last as I don't want it to crash while driving. It has 5 different flashing patterns. I try to choose the shortest blink pattern, 4th, to maximize battery life. There is a setting where all three turn signals flash together. It's a lot brighter, but I was concerned that it would quickly drain the battery. I'm really still experimenting with this and need to try a brighter flash rather than guessing about it. We made a night ride with about a hundred riders. This blinker was about average. He was by far the brightest. But I'm sure the lighter ones are probably worth four times as much as this one. From what I could tell the lighter ones probably use D size batteries. From what I recall they were much larger. I wanted light and small and that's exactly what I got. Hehe All in all it's good value for money but I wish it was brighter.
