Review on Complete Set of 160 Watercolor Pencils with Tools 🎨 for Professional Artists - Ideal for Coloring, Blending, and Layering by Jennifer Roberts

Great crayon set, especially for the price.

This set has a nice selection of colored pencils in different tones and shades. It's so full of variations of each color, you won't have any trouble adding depth and interest to your crayons. PRESENTATION: It comes in a professional looking tin with three pencil trays. Each pen is in its own compartment to avoid breaking while driving. Each pen has both a color name and color number code, but when the set arrives all the pens are grouped by color (which is actually pretty and very pleasing to the eye). That being said I'm not entirely sure what the numbered code is for as they aren't organized that way. I assume the code is colors that blend easily with each other? I've been able to research this set, but when I do I'll update this review. As stated in the product description, the veins are thick. Upon arrival, you'll quickly notice that none of the pencils are fully sharpened. All have a blunt end. This is enough to apply the first coat or two of paint, but you'll definitely need to sand it down for fine detail. The set includes a wide range of metallic colors that you can use as accents in your designs. QUALITY: True to the product description, these pens are lightfast, which is very convincing given the low price. Assuming it's 100% accurate (and fairly difficult for a consumer to verify), this is a set of crayons that professionally puts it ahead of other crayons that art students use. USE: The colored leads of these pencils are somewhat harder and more waxy than some other commercially available colored pencils. That means you can't stack many layers. Multiple layers add depth and fluidity to your realistic drawings. However, you can get 3-4 coats and you can still create beautiful pieces with the shade variation that the kit offers. Note: The white pencil is not opaque at all. You still need the white Prismacolor pen to highlight the drawing. (However, this is also common with more expensive brands) BEST FOR: This set is ideal for beginners. You will enjoy the full rainbow of colors that comes with the set. It is also perfect for those who love adult coloring pages.
