If you're like me you have experience with Dynamat and other bitumen based sound absorbers. It's a whole different ball game, folks. Dynamat is a thinner and very durable material. This is a thicker insulating foam. Aside from the foam part, it's aluminum coated and very sticky, just like the competition. He's just plump like foam. This works REALLY well under car carpets, so if you're doing carpet soundproofing I would use it almost exclusively under carpets. Of course, this works in other areas as well, but watch out for places like door panels where thicker material can become a problem. I find it to be as good as any other sound deadening material I've ever used. Will definitely use and recommend it.
