After moving to Western Colorado last year we decided our dog needed boots as he doesn't know anything about cacti and we often go to places with sharp rocks or traveling on very hot ground. We went through several other more expensive brands of boots that only seemed to last for a couple of hikes. They've been on half a dozen hikes and are still holding up well. One thing to note, I wish these dog boot sellers would sell front and rear boot sizes as a set. Almost all dogs have hind paws that are smaller than their front paws. We bought a size 6 which fit our dog's front paws well but they are difficult to fit on the back legs. I would suggest buying two pairs of different sizes and colors so you can find the right size. Leave one color for the front paws and another color for the back legs. Dogs don't care about fashion. This way you are less likely to lose your shoe.
