The handle is supposed to make it easier to use, but I found it easier to just put on rubber gloves and use the pumice stone, which I had without the handle. than the pumice stone that I already have. They also wear out much quicker than the original. If you have a lot of hard water stains, you can easily use a whole stone and only remove half of the stain.
