Review on RC Pets 1.5-Inch Martingale Training Dog Collar with Wide Webbing by Teresa Santos

I bought this martingale collar for my adult greyhound. Looks pretty good, feels solid and well made and I haven't had any issues. The D-ring for attaching the leash is very large and easy to find. I like that this collar is very wide (1.5 inches), wider than most, making it more comfortable for the dog than a narrower collar. The only downside is the lack of an extra D-ring for attaching a driver's license or rabies tag etc., but the D-ring for attaching a leash is large with plenty of extra space for tags. I made the mistake of leaving it within reach. My dog and he chewed it about halfway through (once he ate part of a leather boot) but it seems to have a lot of excess power and can still be used on my dog. I ordered a new one just to be safe. I would recommend this or any martingale style collar to any dog that is trying to break out of the collar or tug on the leash but doesn't need anything more drastic. Martingale-style collars are safer and more humane than choke collars because they are wide, made of material, and can only be tightened in a specific area. You are less likely to injure your dog's neck. However, you must purchase the correct size (see instructions in product description), my greyhound chose the medium size despite being 80lbs (greyhounds have narrow necks and heads).
