I have been using this product for about 5 weeks. I have short, straight lashes and have been using an eyelash curler for about 30 years (possibly contributing to eyelash loss and thinning). It took about 2 weeks of careful application of the serum twice a day as recommended before I suspected new growth. I noticed uneven growth of the lashes, not like the others due to the unusual direction of growth. I also noticed some irritation in those first few weeks, similar to allergies or a bad night's sleep, but nothing to worry about. Now after 5 weeks of almost heavy use I'm seeing longer lashes and more obviously some new lashes curling which is unusual for me. I just ordered a second tube before I ran out of the first. After the first two weeks there was no more irritation. If you want to take before and after photos, I recommend doing it in dark ink every time. I have light lash ends and I think the photos would show more if I was photographed with mascara on. So far I'm happy with my first experience with an eyelash serum and this is my first.
