I got this because 50% of the time my Yorkshire wrote on the edge of the rug so half the contents ended up on the floor. I was at a loss as to how to fix this because she would pee but I guess she was a little confused? Anyway, I spray it on the middle of my pad the first time I apply it and it definitely helped! There is an unpleasant smell when you first spray it, but the smell will dissipate after a few minutes. It doesn't do anything about the smell of urine. It achieved what I hoped for, so hooray! I don't know if this will work for a dog that hasn't been pad trained at all.
