Not a bad mop but a bit bulky and difficult to use; Round Rotary Mop Best

Rubbermaid Microfibre Flat Spin Floor Care System with Squeeze Bucket (2104526), RedI was very happy to try this mop and although it was an improvement over my regular mop, it turned out to be less than perfect. I'll break it down: What I liked: - The flat mop design is really hard to combine with the spin function, but Rubbermaid really tried to make it as good as possible. It works and rotates to effectively get rid of excess moisture. - The mop and bucket themselves are a decent size but not too big and fairly easy to clean. - The mop really washed my floors. What I didn't do: - As mentioned, the rotation/layer combo is hard to do and they had to make it a bit more complicated to do it. It's a multi-step process (insert mop in first compartment to lift edges, lock, THEN unscrew, THEN lift and unlock for use) whereas a comparable round mop is just soaked, wrung out and ready to use. In all honesty, the main reason for the spin function is to get rid of excess moisture, which a round mop suffers much worse from than a flat one. The spatter/flat surface combination makes a lot more sense than this rotation/flat surface combination. The lock function does not always work properly. Only a thin pad was included with the mop; I'm sure it wears out quickly. I wish the company would have given you at least one extra. I wanted this mop to be liked, but it just doesn't compare to the added complexity and steps you have to take to use it. If you don't fancy a flat mop and slingshot, I would go with either a spinning round mop or a mist/spray flat mop.
