I assumed these rings would have some sort of thin film covering the lens to prevent scratches. It doesn't say so, I just made that assumption since it's listed as a lens protector. It is not. I have them installed and I hope they provide enough clearance between my goggles and the lenses but they are not what I would call snug fitting and I highly doubt they will stay if there is enough friction to go around the lenses of the goggles reach close enough to be scratched in the first place.
