I bought this magnetic mount two months ago before my trip. I wanted something small on the dashboard, a strong magnet, not a thick magnet on the back of a phone case. I drive a 2017 Ford Edge so I placed the bracket over the radio. I had no problems with the mount and it has been in the same spot for two months now. I put a thin magnetic piece on the back of a plastic phone case. The magnet is strong and no problem at all. But the glue part sucks. The magnetic adhesive on my phone lasted 2 days and then fell off the case while driving. I replaced the part again, same problem two days later. I chose clear Scotch Heavy Duty packing tape, stuck a magnet on my phone case and haven't had any problems since. I'm not complaining too much about the low price and strong magnet, and the tape does. If you can't handle creative methods like tape or glue, you can skip this point.
