I decided last year to throw out my natural bristle brush that was a million years old. I ended up getting a brush that had both natural bristles and nylon ones combined. The nylon ones had the little balls on the top. I also got a brush with only nylon bristles to use after washing my hair, to remove any tangles.The combination brush was the most important one, but it didn't totally work as I needed it to. The nylon bristles pull and break dry hair that has even slight tangles. I don't think it distributes oil well either. Hence, I am now using this brush on my dry hair that has only natural bristles. It doesn't break my hair and distributes oil much better.Yet . . . it's a bit too soft. It doesn't quite cut through my hair like my old natural bristle brush did. I wish I had never thrown it away. I don't know if it had nylon bristles mixed in or not. If it did, though, they were not longer than the boar bristles, and did not have the little balls on top.
