This is a solid alloy product and works really well. You may need to super glue the little rubber feet that remove them. But it has two heights, which is great! Now for the cons. If your laptop is a tablet/laptop and you switch to tablet mode...well, in tablet mode it won't close tightly. If you had air vents on the bottom of the laptop, just make sure you don't place it on them. Finally, grab a hard case or similar and attach it to the case so you can easily remove the lower case when you no longer need it. It will be difficult to remove if it was right on your laptop.
