If you are looking for a powerful desktop speaker that saves a lot of space on your desk, then this is the perfect solution for you. The Katana fits under the monitor very snugly and doesn't force you to place 2.1 speakers above or below the monitor or around other things on your desk. Installing a 4K TV in the living room. About a year ago I bought my original katana and used it with a gaming setup on my PC. in the sound card in the device (the same chipset as the Z series sound cards and even the new AE5). Time to tweak the software to get the perfect sound you want (I increased the mids a bit in my personal settings). I bought this second living room unit because it has enough power to fill it. even in medium to large sized rooms and looks great. It also comes with wall mounts if you do. Which is a bonus. Pros: Elegant and minimalist look. The lighting is subtle and customizable. Adds a bit of bling to the table but not too much. Gets CRAZY loud when you want it. Delivers nice tight bass with lots of energy. Subwoofer is small but powerful - Same audio chipset as pricier Sound Blaster cards - Sounds GREAT even in the living room. Dolby night mode is handy for watching without waking up the whole house. Cons: - Minor bug with the remote control. I wish it was a little bigger. But it works fine. I programmed my Harmony remote to control it and I love it even more. I can wholeheartedly recommend this device.
