Review on 📹 Canon ES8200V Hi8 Camcorder: Premium Quality, Discontinued by Manufacturer by Sean Burnett

I've had the camera for about a month now and I love it. I didn't need all the technical bells and whistles of a digital camera, so I wanted something better. Although it has many additional features that I look forward to in the future. It's small, light and very easy to use. Basically I wanted to document my kids growing up and that would certainly help. However, I was a little frustrated at first reading the manual and trying to follow the vague instructions for setting the date. When you buy this camera and set the date, it says to use the controller to scroll through the month, year, etc. You're talking about the FlexiZone controller, not the included remote control. On my last attempt I picked up the phone and called 800, to my surprise I didn't have to wait long and in fact I got a live person to help me through the process. I was very impressed and would call back anytime if I had any questions. One of the downsides now is getting an "S-Video" compatible VCR. But at the same time, playing the footage and viewing it on the LCD monitor isn't so bad. Great camera to have. Get it now while it's cheaper than when I bought it! Definitely a great buy!
