We always used little shallow bowls for the cat's pate, because it seemed easier for cats to eat from, and easier to clean. BUT- there was always a little bit (or sometimes alot) of the food that inadvertently got pushed out of the bowl and onto the floor. and once it's on the floor, the cat doesn't eat it. So, a bit wasted every meal was something we just got used to. I always imagined having some design that sort of prevented the spillage- and by chance i stumbled on this listing a couple weeks ago. After shopping around, i came back to this item and made the purchase. IT IS PERFECT! I mean, the design is so intuitive and logical, i can't believe this isn't the standard food bowl for cats. Do make sure the kitty is eating from the shallow side- and as they lick up their food, the taller side ( being what they lick towards ) automatically shields the food from escaping out to the floor-- gravity and leverage allows kitty to get every last morsel, with zero waste. Cleaning bowl is easy too since it ceramic. Just rinse and wipe it when kitty walks away. AND IT'S CUTE! No regrets. Thank you for this wonderful bowl =)
