The scratches on the back do not cover enough area. So if you don't hold them properly (because of course you can't see what you're doing) they won't fit exactly where you want them to go. But if it's itchy, great! I love scalp massagers! I got this set because I had surgery on my arm and I knew I was going to need it. I have a scratching post on my bedside table, one at work and one in the living room. The perfect preventative hit to no-help post-op itchiness!
