Polarity Matters - Festoons
could have been selected Polarity matters, which at first glance seems acceptable UNLESS you have a lamp string that uses half-bridge rectifiers for two different parts of the string. A full bridge rectifier means that all light sources that do not use the same polarity are dimmed. The dimming is the best I've ever seen. So if your string doesn't have a rectifier, this will work great. I'm assuming it's actually PWM dimming.
