Lots of love! Great depth of field and fast lens - so cheap!

I use this lens as my main lens for talking head videos and zoom calls and I have to say I LOVE how it looks! your background. It's like the lens is writing a love letter on your face - your eyes are sharp, your nose is out of focus, and because the depth of field is so shallow, your background gets a lot of blur. This is important in a video because you want viewers' eyes to be on your face and not your office background. With slower lenses, the eye is constantly trying to read book titles or struggle with what's behind you. With a shallow depth of field, you'll be the only thing in focus and you'll stand out a lot more against the background! (The difference between this lens and the Canon 15-45mm, which only does f/4 at this focal length, is HUGE.) I also like that you can set the aperture manually OR let the camera decide, it's a feature which I have not seen in many lenses! I haven't tested image stabilization or still photography with it, but for my needs it's a darn good buy. A NOTICE. In low light, autofocus was lost in the original firmware for some reason. I went to the manufacturer's website, downloaded the firmware, the problem no longer appeared.
