Review on πŸ”ͺ Leifheit 23041 Comfortline Hand Food Processor with Twist Cut for Improved Performance by Michelle Lynn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mixed results depending on the food tried. Liked the whiskey version.

The first thing that struck me was how well thought out the packaging is in holding the appliance, which is usually an early sign of a quality product. Minimal assembly and connections also showed a good design. I was very impressed until I tried it: the first thing I tried was red peppers. I cut the peppers into about 5-6 pieces and it cut perfectly with simple and natural movements and I was impressed. The next product I tried was carrots. I'm not sure how big of a chunk the device can handle. I peeled a medium-sized carrot, cut it into inch-long segments and tried to slice it - I squeezed and the machine started slicing, but got stuck very quickly. I stopped, removed the pieces of carrot, cut each piece in half and tried again. The blades chipped off small pieces, then wedged again. Now remember that this is just one carrot and there are many places. so I dutifully pulled out all the pieces of the carrot, cut it into even smaller pieces and tried again. They're not cooked, but they don't cut well either - spin with small bits removed, but the larger bits just move around without cutting until I gave up. and cut into 1/2 segments. Again the blades got stuck in the pumpkin and got stuck. I tried an apple and he cut the apple slices perfectly. The celery was also well sliced. The bow was fine too. I've had really mixed results with it as a grinder - now that it worked with a little trickle it worked really well.
