Review on Upgrade Your Game With The STIGA Performance-Quality Table Tennis Net And Post Set For Regulation-Size Tables by Jason Hutchinson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Flimsy and useless.

I bought this item because of two positive reviews, low price, Stiga "Performance" brand, and the claim "USATT approved".Cons:1. The posts are too flimsy to stretch the net. In the best case scenario, the net dangles loosely between the posts.2. Even if the posts were sturdy, the net is too long to fit a standard ping-pong table.3. Even if the posts were sturdy, the net does not have a cord on top to provide a tension where it is needed.4. The posts are too narrow to be fixed in the middle of a ping-pong table between two decks.5. This net can discourage children and novices to play table tennis forever.Pros:1. Knowing that any product with Stiga brand should be avoided.2. Knowing that "USATT approved" means the same as "FDA approved" --- nothing good for you.3. You can use this net as a visual training aid for teaching mechanical engineering students how to not design mechanical parts.

Pros
  • Length and attachment geometry flexibility is good for a really old ping pong table with metal skirt.
Cons
  • A bit underwhelming. It'll do in a pinch.
