Yes you could do it, but why?
This is an excellent mirror (not a glass mirror) for listening to Kaleidescope units. It's unbreakable. Yes, it has tape on the back. You would have to do the same if you did it yourself. You cannot find materials to do it yourself in a way that is both safe and effective. Marty Michell's production is great; buy with confidence.
