I don't get what other reviewers have to say about how careful driving is required in the winter. Spikes will have a better grip than Velcro on ice, but they cannot prevent you from sliding. Departure on this rubber for two winters, making intermittent forays into the hamlet where there is a lot of snow, not always clearing it, and various forms of coverage, including snowdrift, loose snow, ice, and so forth. I never got trapped during either winter, not even in the city or the village. Snow rowing is excellent, and the mountain's descent on an icy road is good and very pleasant. The tires behave predictably in transitional weather (more than zero), but you obviously shouldn't ride it in the summer. Even when it snows, the car handles effectively and with confidence on the highway.
